Starting setups from Dynon for major engine types (Read 17595 times)

The files in this post are created by Dynon Avionics and can be used as starting points for your own SkyView EMS setups.

These files SHOULD NOT be considered complete. While efforts were made to set up temperature, pressure, and other ranges to reasonable starting points, Dynon makes no claim that they are correct for your engine, as slightly different engines may have different limits. Check EVERY setting before operating your engine with them.

Most alarms are turned off in these files. You may want to turn on alarms on some of the sensors. This can be done in the
normal way for each sensor in the EMS Setup.

To save the files below, right click and select "save link as..." or "save target as...", depending your browser. Copy them to your USB stick to upload them to your SkyView system.

Step 1: Install the most recent sensor definition file from the SkyView Downloads area of the Dynon website. This file contains all of the different sensor types that SkyView supports.

Step 2: If you have one of the engines listed below, download the EMS configuration file that best matches it. We have produced sensor files for all of the sensor kits that we sell. These files primarily set up screen layouts in all three sizes (20/40/100%), and pin mappings that are closely patterned on our existing EMS-D10/D100 line of products. Note that there are two sets of files below. In January 2012, Dynon Avionics started shipping its EMSKIT packages with Kavlico solid state pressure sensors for increased accuracy and reliability over the former pressure sensors that are included. If you have an EMSKIT from before this time frame, it is likely to include the "original" pressure sensors. The revised EMSKITs call out the inclusion of the Kavlico brand pressure sensors both on the outer EMSKIT packaging, as well as on each fuel and oil pressure sensor.
